AMICAJECT

AMICAJECT contains Amikacin which is an aminoglycoside antibiotic used to treat different

types of bacterial infections. Amikacin works by binding to the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit,

causing misreading of mRNA and leaving the bacterium unable to synthesize proteins vital to its

growth.
 

COMPOSITION

Each ml Contains:

Amikacin sulphate equivalent to Amikacin : 250 mg
 

FEATURES

• Active against a wide range of bacterial infections

• Used to treat bacterial infections not responsive to more commonly used antibiotics.
 

INDICATIONS

• Septicemia

• UTI, RTI & GIT infections

• Bones and joints infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections
 

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION

For SC/IM /IV/ route

Dog & Cat: 5-12 mg/kg b. wt twice daily

Also use in IV infusion after dilution in 1:4 ratio in sterile water

or as directed by veterinarian
